Information pursuant to Article 6.993 of the Civil Code of the Republic of Lithuania:
At the time of conclusion of the insurance contract and during its validity, the insurer must provide the policyholder with the following information: the name of the insurer, the type of the insurer’s company, address, address of the electronic delivery box, address of the insurer’s branch office or the insurer’s representative (in case of the insurance contract concluded outside the insurer’s registered office), the procedure for settling disputes arising out of the insurance contract or related to the insurance contract, the insurer’s conduct in the event of the policyholder’s violation of the terms and conditions of the insurance contract, potential cases of increase of the risk of insurance, and any other information provided for by the legislation regulating the insurance business. Before concluding an insurance contract, the policyholder must provide the insurer with all the information known to the insurer about the circumstances that may have a material impact on the likelihood of an insured event occurring and the size of the potential loss (the insured risk) from that event. The obligation of the policyholder to disclose all information known to him is also enshrined in the insurance rules of the insurer in question.
Only through close cooperation between all the parties involved in the insurance contract, disclosure of the objectives of the contract and other relevant information, can a contract that does not meet legitimate expectations be avoided. We therefore recommend that you read the terms and conditions of the insurance products offered or ask your insurance broker for more detailed information.
